Jail Tours Program

As part of Sheriff Michael Bellotti's Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program, the Sheriff's Office conducts tours of the Norfolk County Correctional Center for students of all ages, from Cub Scouts to graduate students. Parents and teachers are always welcome to join the tours, which are also open to law enforcement groups, senior clubs and any other interested organization. More than 4,000 people tour the facility every year.

After every tour, students and other participants can listen to a selected group of inmates tell their personal stories of how drugs and alcohol played a destructive role in their lives and landed them in jail. The tour participants then have a chance to question the inmates about their experiences. The purpose of these tours is to educate young people and others about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

For more information, or to schedule a tour, please call the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office at 781-751-3516.

Sherrif Bellotti

From the Sheriff:

"My mission as Sheriff of Norfolk County is to reach beyond the walls of the jail into the community. The sheriff's office must be a resource to the communities it protects. That's why my office runs programs that improve the quality of life for senior citizens, youth and victims of domestic violence."
