Director Bell has served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Norfolk Sheriff's Office since 2013. He has utilized a strong background in management, operations, policy and procedural development, budget administration and public relations to perform his job.
Mr. Bell currently oversees and maintains operation of the Civil Process Office, Office of Community Corrections, Community Work Service, Electronic Incarceration (EIP) Program at the Sheriff's Office and is responsible for oversight of all community-based programs associated with the Sheriff's Office.
For the past 8 years, he has served as a member of the Quincy College Board of Governors where he is the First Vice Chairman of the board.
He also has over 25 years’ experience in all facets of state and local government and served previously as a Director of Government Affairs and Chief of Staff in the State Treasurers Office. Chris has had many different roles in his career at both the State House and the Sheriff’s Office including Legislative Aide, ADS of Community Corrections, and Director of Fiscal Affairs. He is a graduate of UMASS Boston and has a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from Southern New Hampshire University
