Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office provides adventure based team-building programs at its high and low ropes challenge course at our Braintree Public Safety Complex. These programs are available free of charge to Norfolk County schools, teachers, coaches, youth groups and certain non-profits for one day visits, during the spring and fall.
With a goal of developing youth leaders in the community this program involves icebreakers, games, team-building exercises and high ropes challenges. During the program participants practice setting goals and healthy challenges for themselves, as well as learning problem-solving skills and techniques using experiential and adventure education to achieve goals agreed on after an assessment interview.
The adventure programs are appropriate for children 5th grade and older, but are ideal for middle school participants and small groups of older teams such as student government, alternative education, peer leadership groups etc. as well as teacher professional development.
Please note:
Day programs are available Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 2pm Monday to Friday. Programming is flexible within that time (we can run a program from 9am to noon for example)
Because this is a staff intensive program, we can only accommodate groups of up to 30 participants. Larger groups need special arrangement and depend on staff availability.
We designed these programs around the needs of the group.
If interested, please submit the online application below
After receiving the application, we will contact you for a more in-depth needs assessment before scheduling the program.
